Fernando Bryce, who has been living in Berlin for 25 years, is considered one of the most recognized Peruvian artists in the national and international contemporary art scene, and returns to Lima to spend a long season to continue the work he began in the late 90s, reproducing documents and objects in order to build new forms of representation of historical memory.

After an arduous review of pamphlets, official documents, press images, political propaganda or advertisements, selected after what he calls mimetic analysis, Bryce rearranges and exhibits them. Using the brush, he appropriates them and gives them a new critical reading, sprinkled with humor and irony.
This time Bryce devotes himself to investigating a specific historical period in Peru, from 1945 to 1948, that is to say, the period between 1945 and 1948.
