With the art exhibition „130% Sprengel. Sammlung pur“ (130% Sprengel. Pure Collection), the Sprengel Museum Hannover is giving its collection a grand stage.
On a good 8,000 square metres, 800 works are presented throughout the house, offering a tour through the history of modern art from its beginnings around 1900 to the present day. The presentation follows a combination of chronological sequence and thematic focal points and shows the collection of the Sprengel Museum Hannover on a scale never seen before. For the first time, the masterpieces of classical modernism can be seen in the spacious natural light rooms in the recently opened extension building.
