„Prober5“ is the last and final series of Anne-Mie van Kerckhoven’s artistic project „headNurse“ and will combine 24 large-scale computerprints, texts and drawings as well as a video projection.
The project headNurse was initiated in 1995 in Bruges/Belgium as an incubation project that would be steadily developped. Every exhibition as part of the project headNurse dealt in a different way with the representation of „eroticized concepts“.
The origin of the headNurse-project, of the „erotiziced concepts“, which Anne-Mie van Kerckohoven refers to as a „sex- & technology project“, is based on confronting 96 images of women with 96 words stemming from referential books on artificial intelligence. Photographs of nude women, that the artist found in old magazines dating from the time before the sexual revolution of the early 70s, were the starting point for the entire project.
