It is in a spirit of sharing, experimentation, encounters and celebrations around contemporary art and music that this artistic programme has been taking place every July for the past six years.

Each year, the Horizons d’eaux project entrusts a barge to an artist whose work takes the form of an installation that sails on the Midi canals. After Joël Andrianomearisoa in 2017 on the Naïade, Maya Rochat in 2018 and 2019, Béatrice Utrilla in 2020 and Samir El Kordy in 2021, it is the artist Amélie Bertrand who will take over the Convivencia Festival’s sailing stage with a colourful installation on the barge Le Tourmente, whose concert stops will punctuate the voyage of Horizons d’eaux #6.

For this sixth edition, each contemporary art exhibition on the banks of the canal will highlight an artist linked to the Occitanie region or an artist who has recently entered the regional collections.
